This Paloma-style serve uses a measured 1.5 oz pour of Ocho Verde Agave (about 6mg hemp-derived THC) in place of tequila, with fresh grapefruit and lime, topped with sparkling water or a non-alcoholic grapefruit soda. Tall, bubbly and zero proof.
Why it works
Grapefruit and agave are a classic pair. Ocho Verde Agave brings the earthy sweetness, the grapefruit and lime bring the tart edge, and the soda keeps it long and light. One measured pour per glass keeps the dose clear.
Ingredients (one serving)
- 1.5 oz Ocho Verde Agave (about 6mg THC)
- 2 oz fresh grapefruit juice
- 1/2 oz fresh lime juice
- 1/4 oz agave syrup (optional)
- 3 oz sparkling water or non-alcoholic grapefruit soda
- Pinch of salt, ice and a grapefruit wedge
Method
- Fill a tall glass with ice. Add a pinch of salt, or salt half the rim.
- Measure 1.5 oz Ocho Verde Agave with a jigger into the glass.
- Add the grapefruit juice, lime juice and agave syrup (if using) and stir.
- Top with sparkling water or grapefruit soda and stir once more.
- Garnish with a grapefruit wedge.
One serving per person. Wait before having another: effects can be delayed by two hours or more. Zero proof only, so do not add beer, wine or liquor. Do not drive after drinking it.
Tips and swaps
- Use Ocho Verde Citrus for a sharper, lemon-lime Paloma.
- Using grapefruit soda? Leave out the agave syrup, since the soda is already sweet.
- Make the juice mix ahead in a pitcher and add Ocho Verde to each glass as you serve.

How much THC is in this drink?
About 6mg. The recipe uses one 1.5 oz pour of Ocho Verde Agave, and each 750mL bottle holds 100mg THC (about 4mg per 1 oz). For a lighter drink, use 1 oz, about 4mg.
Can I add tequila or other alcohol?
No. We do not recommend mixing THC drinks with alcohol. Both are intoxicating, so this serve stays zero proof. Pick one or the other, and never drive after drinking either.
Can I make a pitcher?
Make the mixer in a pitcher if you like, but measure the Ocho Verde into each glass with a jigger so every guest knows their dose: 1.5 oz is about 6mg THC.
